My opinion is that it's absolutely necessary to use the filtering process with grey market peptides for your research. Though most grey market peptides test at 99% purity, this doesn't guarantee absolute sterility. Bacteriostatic (BAC) water is a solution of sterile water and 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative that prevents bacterial growth in the vial contents (to an extent).
